Simcoe County students brought home five medals from the 2024 Skills Ontario Competition.
Held last month in Toronto, 44 students from seven Simcoe County District School Board schools got a chance to showcase their talents.
Medals were awarded to:
- Abbigail D., Artur K., Davis B., and Ethan M. from Collingwood CI - silver in Robotics
- Masslyn A. from Stayner CI - silver in Floristry
- Ella C. from Banting Memorial HS - bronze in Baking
- Lucas S. from Innisdale SS - bronze in Prepared Speech
- Lucas K. from Innisdale SS - bronze in Precision Machining
Participation in the Skills Ontario Competition was made possible through the support of the Experiential Learning program, Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP), and the Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) program.
